THE OMEGA POINT

Part ritual / part music performance - The Omega Point's show is an immersive cacophony of found-object percussion, processed vocals and intense dirge like harmonies. Post-industrual eco-requiems are channelled by an ominous deity, accompanied by a physical theatre choir of fates that moves through space as one body.

The Omega Point is the project of artist, theatre maker and performer Alex Clouston- with core collaborators Mark Conroy and Alex O'Connell. From Alex's solo performances to full ensemble - The Omega Point asks ' in an age of corporate alienation and technological acceleration, what makes us inherently human?

European tour Nov/ Dec 2025: Sameheads (Berlin), The Horse Hospital (London), Le Chaton Independent (Paris), PDF (Vienna), Dragu Vardai (Vilnius). Sold-out debut season of the show: COMMUNE: A Gothic Eco Opera- 2022 (22 performers, City of Melbourne funded). Music album 'COMMUNE' releasing 2027.

COMMUNE: A GOTHIC ECO OPERA

COMMUNE is a larger conceptual world where post-apocalyptic survivors have built their myths from the follies of their ancestors. It unfolds across music release, theatrical performance, short film, and visual works.

A full theatrical production COMMUNE: A Gothic Eco Opera, debuted to a sold-out season in 2022, supported by City of Melbourne Arts Grants. It is currently in re-development with Melbourne based psycho-physical theatre ensemble The Thursday Group- for presentation at Next Wave's Brunswick Mechanic Institute in 2027.
